Description
National Mod Gold medallist Maeve's first album. It features a great blend of traditional Gaelic songs with very tasteful backing from great musicians including Blair Douglas, Dougie Pincock and Stevie Lawrence.
Biography
One of two talented Gaelic singers bearing the same name, Maeve is from the Isle of Barra where she grew up steeped in the rich musical traditions associated with that island. She is now based in Glasgow where she works as a teacher in Gaelic medium education. According to Michael Marra, “ Maeve has a very happy sincerity in her delivery and a flourish of colours in her voice.”
